The car that went on to become the first VW Polo, and was Audi's only contribution to the sub-compact market for over 20 years? Here's quite a nice looking one. And boy have these things gotten rarer and rarer! The last time I personally saw one is over 20 years ago.

I love those :) I actually owned a Polo Mk1 for a few months, the N model; 895 CC engine with 40 HP (I think), NO options, it even had a foot pump for the windscreen washer fluid instead of an electrical pump. Reason I sold it was because I drove an hour or so to work each day, and that puny little engine could barely do 90km/h.
It had the same colour combination as this one (Pea green with orange interior)

A colour that was quite fashionable at that time. My family had a Lada in that colour.

I think the colour looks rather good on these cars, it just feels "right" for some reason. It would look horrible on a new car though.
